Powerful new design tool for Adobe InDesign

New York, December 1, 2004 - Teacup Software today announced the release of PatternMaker 1.0, a powerful new design tool for Adobe InDesign CS. Designed by page-layout guru David Blatner, the PatternMaker plug-in brings high-quality PostScript patterns to InDesign. Each of the fifteen native PostScript patterns in PatternMaker are completely adjustable, allowing users to tweak, modify and reinvent each pattern into endless variations.

Features for the PatternMaker include:

		A unique set of adjustable parameters for each pattern, so that every pattern offers its own set of design possibilities
		A simple user-interface centered around a single, dynamic palette that updates as different patterns are selected
		Integrates with native InDesign effects -- drop shadows, feathering, skewing, scaling and any other transformation can be applied to the graphic pattern itself, not just the frame containing the pattern
		All patterns are in native PostScript, so all designs can be output at any resolution on both PostScript and non-PostScript devices

PatternMaker offers new possibilities for backgrounds, texturing

David Blatner worked closely with Teacup in the design of PatternMaker to meet what he sees as a long-standing need. "In the old days, we had rubdown and cutout patterns," he said. "They were a pain to use, of course, but it was great to have patterns that were ready to go. With the PatternMaker, you have all the advantages and none of the inconvenience.
