Production oriented plug-in improves FPO workflow

New York, NY - February 15, 2007: Teacup Software today announce the release of ImageSwapper, a new plug-in aimed at streamlining the process of replacing low resolution for-placement-only (FPO) images with their high resolution counterparts. The plug-in was developed in close collaboration with production departments at a number of major magazines, and has been optimized to be an effective time-saving production tool. Designed to allow production specialists to replace all the images in a document in a single sitting, ImageSwapper has numerous features to save time and increase efficiency.

How it works

ImageSwapper features a single dialog that lists all the images in a document and all the possible replacement images. The user can display original and replacement images in the ImageSwapper dialog, and must choose two identical points on each image.  With this information, ImageSwapper automatically calculates how much the replacement image should be rotated and scaled, while offering the option to manually override any setting.

		Precise manual controls Use the visual tools to quickly set up an image swap, then fine tune changes with ImageSwapper's manual controls. ImageSwapper allows you to separately enable, disable, and override scale and rotation amounts, and it will also let you set minimum thresholds.
